1st May – Frankfurt

Successful premiere of the Global Pastor Conference in Europe

On May 1, 2024, the European pastors’ conference: “Global Pastors Conference” of the Zion Christian Mission Center (ZCMC) took place in Frankfurt am Main under the motto: “Present and Future of Christianity in Europe”. Pastors from 8 countries gathered in the temple of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, a partner of the ZCMC.

The pastors’ conference was the second event in a worldwide series organized by the ZCMC, which began on April 20, 2024 with over 4,000 participating pastors in the Philippines. The ZCMC is thus responding to the declining membership numbers of all Christian denominations. In Germany, the proportion of Catholic and Protestant congregation members has fallen from 90 percent in 1919 to 70 percent in 2010 and to 55 percent in 2018.

Contents and results of the conference

The pastors’ conference began with a speech by ZCMC chairman Man Hee Lee, in which he called on the audience to reflect on their faith and examine the fulfillment of revelation.

In the subsequent workshops, the participants discussed the current challenges facing Christianity and developed possible solutions.

Workshop Part A highlighted issues such as lack of Bible understanding, poor communication between denominations, pride, materialism, and the negative impact of social media on faith. It also addressed difficulties in evangelism and the decline in church membership.

Workshop Part B focused on solutions to strengthen Christianity, including emphasizing the Bible as a standard of faith, interdenominational conversations to promote unity, spiritual education in the family, and personal Bible study. Participants emphasized the need for prayer, sacrifice, and reviving the church through unity and divine teaching. It also highlighted the importance of evangelism, deliverance ministries, and living the Gospel to create stronger community and unity.

The pastors emphasized the sincerity of the participants and the need for unity and self-sacrifice in European Christianity.

Impressions and reactions of participating pastors

My life of faith has changed today. We need something like this. We need to come together. I’m already looking forward to the next “Jesus Party”.

You wrote: ‘We are one.’ I want to convey to my church that God is not German, that God does not come from Africa. So when we come before God, we must come as one people.

In Mr. Man Hee Lee, I saw simplicity and humility, and that is the quality of Jesus, it is the quality of a good Christian. So in him I saw Christianity.

I like coming here because there are so many young people in this organization and I am looking for a solution to better missionize in Germany. That’s why I came.
